to take a new path.

After more than seven years as founder and CEO of tech startup WeCobot , during which we successfully grew the company and established an international presence, I made a crucial discovery: my role as CEO no longer suited who I truly am. My core motivations—learning new things and experiencing adventure—were a perfect fit for starting and growing a company. As a pioneer, creative technologist, connector, and enthusiastic entrepreneur, I've always been driven by curiosity and a desire to grow. But I'm not a CEO or a board member. This realization led me, in consultation with my partners, to step down as director at the end of 2024. A difficult puzzle for both the company and myself, which we thankfully resolved amicably.
With our hands free and the desire to embark on a new adventure, my wife and I decided to take our next step in Canada. My wife is Canadian and still has a lot of family there. We're convinced this is the right time to offer our children, who are fortunately still young enough to join us, a new environment.
We thrive on new adventures, and Canada offers us the perfect opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. We're excited about the new challenges ahead, and it feels like this is the right step for the future of our family and for NL Innovations.
Why Canada? Because it's a country that offers us both business opportunities and a life full of adventure. It's a place where we can connect with new people and markets while simultaneously enjoying the rich culture and natural beauty the country has to offer. For our children, it will be a chance to grow up in a diverse and welcoming environment. And for me personally, it offers a chance to approach my work from a fresh perspective.
We've purchased a beautiful spot in rural Canada as our base: the charming town of Carman , just an hour's drive from Winnipeg Airport. And within an hour, you can be in the US! This peaceful setting offers us the space to grow in many ways.
We'll be moving to Carman starting mid-July 2025. We feel blessed with this wonderful opportunity and are looking forward to starting this new adventure.
